Why Not Virtual Trade Shows?

Attendees and exhibitors are being more selective on which shows they attend.

Participation in live events have been down anywhere from 15% to 30% this year. Marketing budgets continue to be stretched and companies are finding alternate ways to make market impressions. Attending a virtual trade show can allow a company to participate in about eight events for the cost of one physical one and although there is no replacement for “face to face” encounters this is an attractive alternative for attendees and exhibitors alike.

Las Vegas Sees First Monthly Visitor Increase Since May 2008

Las Vegas saw some signs of relief during the month of September as the city recorded its first year-over-year increase in visitor volume since May 2008, according to numbers released today. The number of visitors during the month of September increased 4.3 percent from about 2.9 million visitors in September 2008 to more than 3 million in September 2009, according to a report released by the Las Vegas Visitors and Convention Authority.
